Pokémon Topsun

Top-Seika sold Pokémon in cardboard packs with a piece of gum from 1995, which makes Topsun one of the earliest Pokémon lines of any kind. The packs held two different things over the years: seals, the square stickers most collectors mean by Topsun, and cards, two separate numbered card sets that are constantly confused with each other. Sort the cards by shape before anything else. The 1995 set is portrait with a cream border and a full stat table; the 1997 card gum battle cards are landscape with a metallic number band and two Pokémon in the artwork.
