Pokémon Karuta Scarlet & Violet Checklist · Karuta

Locked setThese boxes are here so collectors know they exist. The Gen 9 checklist is not finished, so it stays closed and takes no photographs yet. It opens for everyone the day all 45 kana positions are identified.

Boxes in this era

Era-named and year-dated releases · Showa Note
Two naming systems, one era. Showa Note’s recent Karuta is sold under a year name — 「ポケモンかるた 2025」, 「… 2026」 — while collectors sort the same boxes by game era. This page is the Gen 9 (Scarlet & Violet) era home, and lists the year-dated boxes that belong to it underneath. A box is listed here only where its year or era is evidenced; boxes are never invented to fill a gap in the run.

Correction, 2026-09-13. This page previously cited item codes 674729001 and 674729002 as two printings of one Scarlet & Violet box, and said Koraidon and Miraidon were on the cover. Both claims are withdrawn. 674729001 is the box Hori Shoten sells as 「かるた 2023」 under JAN 4901772670520; its cover, read at full resolution, carries Charizard, Gengar, Luxray, Pikachu, Lucario, Dragapult and Eternatus, with no Paldea Pokémon at all, and it released 2022-09-20, two months before Scarlet & Violet launched. 674729002 is a different and later product, released 2023-07-28, already documented in full at Karuta 2024. Showa Note gave none of these boxes an era name. This page is the era doorway for the year-named boxes below, not a product of its own.

Its あ card is Fuecoco (ホゲータ), read from the maker’s own contents photograph. That row used to sit on this page unattributed; it now lives on the 2025 box page where it belongs.
JAN 4901772670650 · ¥1,320
Its あ card is Chikorita (チコリータ) — a different Pokémon from the 2025 box, which is how we know each year is its own set.

Listed here because the collector cards below carry Gen 9 art on their alphabet reverses. Which year-dated box each of those cards came from has not been established — see the Community Catalog note.
Unplaced collector cards
Gen 9 art · year not established
Evidenced by collector cards in the Community Catalog below: the picture-card face carries a kana and a Pokémon, and the reverse of the same card is an English alphabet card. The alphabet reverses show Gen 9 Pokémon, which places them in this era. Two different boxes are represented — a single box uses each kana once, and both cards seen so far are Dragonite on different kana. Neither has been tied to a specific year-dated box.

Pokémon reported present · kana position not established

These Pokémon have been reported on Gen 9 Karuta cards, but no source has yet fixed which kana each one sits on, so none is placed in the grid above.
